Michelle Mehr

You Never Know

Michelle Mehr received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in both Criminal Justice and Sociology. She then joined Carthage, TX Police Department where she served 15 years, starting as Patrol Officer and achieving the rank of Assistant Chief.

Michelle later joined the staff of the FBI Law Enforcement Officers Killed and Assaulted (LEOKA) Program, traveling around the country training law enforcement officers in LEOKA and other topics.

Michelle now lives in Jackson, TN and works for the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, where she is the Director of Professional Standards and holds the rank of Major.
